Stellar show by schools in Malabar
Many schools in Malabar secure 100% pass in CBSE Class XII exams.
KOZHIKODE: CBSE schools in the Malabar region netted impressive performance Class XII results announced on Sunday. While many schools in the region secured cent per cent victory, almost all others secured over 90 per cent pass. Devagiri CMI Public School in Kozhikode achieved 100 per cent success for the sixth continuous year. Eighty-six students appeared for the CBSE Senior Secondary Examination from the school. Securing 97% marks, Gokul P. Nair became the top scorer in the science stream and with 96.6% marks Maria Ben became the top scorer in the commerce stream. Nine students secured A1 grade in all the subjects.
In Silver Hills Public School, out of the 87 students appeared, six got full A1 and 22 students scored above 90% marks. Vishnuraj R topped with 96.06% marks.
Kendriya Vidyalayam-2, Govindapuram, secured 100 per cent pass for the seventh consecutive time. of the 72 students who appeared for the exam, seven students got above 90% and overall performance index of the school stood at 75.5%. Hridya Gireesh with 90.8% in science and Prasanna Venkatesh topped with 90.8% in the commerce stream.
Dayapuram Residential School, Chathamangalam scored 100 per cent pass for the 21st consecutive time. Out of the 119 students appeared for the examination, 67 students got distinction, 49 got first class and three got second class. Mambaram English Medium Senior Secondary School, Mambaram in Kannur scored 100 per cent pass in science and 94 per cent in commerce. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Lakkidi in Wayanad, scored 100% pass for the fourth consecutive year.
Hill Blooms School Mananthavady also scored 100% pass for the consecutive eighth time with nine scoring above 90% marks. Green Hills Public School Sulthan Bathery scored 100% victory for the 10th consecutive time. Out of the total 173 students who appeared for the exam, 37 scored above 90%. De Paul Public School, Kalpetta, scored 100% pass with 17 out of 35 students getting distinction. Tirur MES Central School got 100% pass with 36 students securing distinction and 25 first class. Muhammed Hassan of science stream secured 97.2% with full marks in Mathematics. Varsha Jayaprakash in Commerce stream topped with 96.04 % marks.
