Four of family killed in Medak road mishap

HYDERABAD: In a tragic development, two persons of a family, who had suffered serious injuries in a road mishap in Medak district, died while undergoing treatment here. Two others had died on the spot.

The deceased were identified as Nagaraju Goud, his brother Durga Goud, his wife Lavanya and their three-year-old daughter Harsita, resident of Ellapur of Papannapet in Medak district.

According to police, Nagaraju Goud and Durga Goud were brothers and they were residing at Ellapur village of Medak district. Last Friday, the four went to Doultabad to attend a function. On their return, the car was involved in a head-on collision with a bus at Kolhapur.

Nagaraju and Harsitha died on the spot. Durga Goud and Lavanya suffered serious injuries and were shifted to a Hyderabad hospital.

When the family members were performing the last rites of Nagaraju and Harshita on Saturday, they received information that Durga had succumbed.
The final rites were supposed to be held today at Ellapur when they got news that even Lavnaya had succumbed. The police handed over the bodies of Durga and Lavanya to the family members after post-mortem.
