Telangana: Forgotten PV Narasimha Rao remembered

Telangana bidda P.V. Narasimha Rao rose from sarpanch to become Prime Minister and brought laurels to the country.

Hyderabadp: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao led the state in paying tribute to former prime minister P.V. Narasimha Rao on his 95th birth anniversary.

“Telangana bidda P.V. Narasimha Rao rose from sarpanch to become Prime Minister and brought laurels to the country. He will be remembered forever for economic reforms and optimal utilisation,” the Chief Minister said. He said the former Prime Minister had tried to undo the injustice done to the Telangana region.

AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who is on a tour of China, also paid rich tributes to Narasimha Rao. “PV initiated economic reforms and he continued it. We are committed to having a memorial for PV in New Delhi,’’ he said.

Deputy Chief Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali, who participated in a  function organised at PV Gnana Bhoomi at Necklace Road,  praised the late Prime Minister’s contribution to the country and his economic reforms that changed the course of the country.
