KCR, ministers, BRS leaders shocked over sudden demise of Sai Chand

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao expressed shock over the untimely demise of Telangana activist, noted folk singer and Telangana State Warehouse Corporation chairman V Sai Chand. A native of Palamuru district, Sai Chand rose to great heights in a very short time. He suffered a cardiac arrest.

Taking to Twitter, the CMO said: “Sai Chand’s untimely death has disturbed the CM. Telangana lost a great artiste. Chand’s role in the cultural movement during achieving separate Telangana is remarkable. The CM said that his meetings could not have been a success without Sai Chand.  He always tried to instill the revolutionary spirit among the masses through song and dance. He prayed that his family members remain brave and tide over the crisis.”

BRS working president and minister KT Rama Rao expressed shocked over the Sai Chand’s death and extended his condolences to the bereaved family.

KTR said that he was saddened by the sudden loss both to the BRS and the state. “A great artist & a humble soul our Sai was. My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. Gone way too soon Brother. We will miss you and that amazing voice...”

Sai Chand’s name will be etched in the annals of history of Telangana movement as well as cultural field, KTR said.

Telangana minister T Harish Rao also expressed shock over the sudden death of Sai Chand and extended his deepest condolences to the family members. He said that the untimely death of his younger brother Sai Chand has caused him great pain. Telangana society will never forget the role he played in the movement, he said.

Telangana Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy, Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Ministers S Niranjan Reddy, V Srinivas Goud, G Jagdish Reddy, Vemula Prashanth Reddy, Gangula Kamalakar, A Indrakaran Reddy, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Koppula Eeshwar, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, P Sabitha Indra Reddy, Satyavathi Rathod, and others along with several BRS MPs, legislators and other leaders, mourned the untimely death of Sai Chand.
