Ailing Naufal draws duck for CM Pinarayi Vijayan

Doctors treating Noufal said the boy is recovering from his injuries as his wounds are healing.

KOCHI: Nine-year-old Naufal from Adimali, a victim of gruesome torture allegedly by his parents, revealed his talent for painting when he used colour pencils gifted to him by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan when he visited him the other day. Naufal, recovering at the Government Medical College Hospital painted a duck in yellow colour. He first sketched the shape of a duck and then gave a yellow shade to it.

Doctors treating Noufal said the boy is recovering from his injuries as his wounds are healing. He is likely to be shifted from surgical intensive care unit in the next two days. The Child Rights Protection Committee chaired by the district collector meanwhile said the committee would soon take a decision on adopting the child. A decision will be taken in this regard after examining the issue in detail, the district collector Mohammad Zafirulla informed after a meeting of the committee.
