KADAPA: N. Shobha Valentina has become the first woman superintendent engineer (SE) of the Operations Wing in the history of Andhra Pradesh State Electricity Department.

On Sunday, she took over as SE of YSR Kadapa District Electricity Department at Vidyut Bhavan in Kadapa city under APSPDCL.

Shobha said she is proud to be the first woman in history of state power department to be assigned to a district as superintendent engineer for operations wing.

After taking charge, she was greeted by electrical employees with bouquets. Speaking on the occasion, the SE said her aim is to provide quality and uninterrupted power supply to the district.

Shobha underlined that theft of electricity is a legal crime. Urging people to use electricity through meters, she asserted that Kadapa will be made a district without power theft.
