TIRUPATI: Telugu Desam party MLC M. Rabindranath Reddy, who is also known as B. Tech Ravi, alleged that he was yet to get the accommodation-linked caution deposit money refund, pertaining to his accommodation during his previous visit to Tirumala, from the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).

Speaking to the media after worshipping Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala temple on Sunday morning, the TDP MLC flayed the state government and the TTD for the inordinate delay in refunding the caution deposit money to devotees.

I’m yet to receive the caution deposit amount linked to my previous Tirumala visit. When I asked the TTD employees why there was a delay, they told me that the government was responsible for the delay. If it is so, it is really unfortunate that the funds-starved government is troubling even the devotees visiting Tirumala, Ravi said.

He said that the TTD used to refund the caution deposit money to the devotees at the very moment they vacated their room. But the scenario has changed now. He demanded that the government and the TTD must initiate steps to ensure that caution deposit money should be deposited back to the devotees in time.
