Gadag: Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Dr HK Patil, also the Gadag District In-charge Minister, inspected the turf hockey stadium at Gandhi Nagar scheduled to be inaugurated on September 3.

This promising addition to the sports infrastructure in the region has been constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 9 crore.

Social Welfare Minister Dr HC Mahadevappa will inaugurate the event. Minister for Youth Empowerment and Sports Nagendra will be present.

The stadium's construction marks a significant investment in promoting hockey and sports in the region.

Hockey players showcased their skills with gusto. To the delight of the athletes present, Minister Patil exhibited his own hidden hockey talents, impressively netting a goal with precision.

In an interaction with reporters, Patil lauded the historical significance of hockey in Gadag district.

"Gadag district takes pride in its storied legacy of producing outstanding hockey players both at the state and national levels," he said.
