AP takes lead in offering innovative storage solutions: CM Jagan
Jagan said energy storage capacity is pivotal in a nation's progress, especially in India that is flourishing with renewable resources
VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy laid the stone for enhancing the production capacity of the EV Scooter manufacturing utility of Avera AI Mobility Pvt Ltd’s at Nunna area from 25,000 to 1 lakh scooters a year.
The CM laid the foundation in virtual mode during a programme at the CMO in Tadepalli on Tuesday.
He said energy storage capacity is pivotal in a nation's progress, especially in India that is flourishing with renewable resources. “AP takes the lead in offering innovative storage solutions. AVERA’s significant investment of 100.2 crore in AP would generate local employment opportunities. The enhanced production capacity will provide employment to another 200 persons.”
NTR district collector Dilli Rao, Avera organisation representatives and others from the NTR district collectorate in Vijayawada joined the groundbreaking ceremony. Dilli Rao said Avera’s dedicated efforts to make sustainable electric scooters extended beyond mere manufacturing.
He said this new project endeavours to create adaptive battery solutions not just for Avera but also for other electric vehicle manufacturers. The company has embarked on a global expansion, with exports to EU nations and recent agreements for export to Asia Pacific countries, including Vietnam, Thailand, Oceana etc.
These steps capitalize on beneficial trade agreements, including those between Australia and India, he said.
Further agreements, notably with the UK, are pending finalization, he added.
