Visakhapatnam: YSRC leader from Visakhapatnam South constituency Seetamraju Sudhakar, former chairman of AP Brahmin Corporation, has given up his primary membership of the ruling party on Friday, citing unavoidable reasons.

It is known that Sudhakar, who had been in-charge of Visakha South constituency, has been having differences with the constituency’s MLA Vasupalli Ganesh. From time to time, the YSRC in-charge had been complaining to ruling party’s regional coordinator Y.V. Subbareddy about his differences with MLA Vasupalli.

Sudhakar’s supporters say not seeing any results despite complaints, he has quit the party. Sudhakar wrote a letter to Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy that he is resigning from his post as well as its basic party membership.

Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar had won the 2019 assembly election from Visakhapatnam South seat as a candidate of the TDP. He subsequently switched over to YSRC. Recently, some corporators of Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation held several meetings against Vasupalli.

However, the MLA’s supporters say Vasupalli succeeded in convincing the CM that despite opposition from the corporators, he will be able to win the South seat.

Seetamraju Sudhakar’s resignation has come following strong reports that Jagan Mohan Reddy has cleared Vasupalli's candidature from the Visakhapatnam South constituency.

Recently, MLC Vamsikrishna had left YSRC and joined Jana Sena. Now, Sudhakar has resigned from the ruling party. There are reports doing rounds in political circles that he may join the TDP.
