SC, ST Advocates Association Expressed Disapproval Towards Collegium Recommendations

Hyderabad: The Forum of SC, ST and BC Advocates of Telangana state on Friday expressed disapproval over the recent recommendation for the elevation of four advocates as judges of Telangana High Court as it had not given representation to those from the SC and ST communities.

The forum said the High Court Collegium had forwarded the recommendations to the Supreme Court Collegium.

Further, the association also pointed out that no advocate from the SC and ST communities had been appointed as Advocate-General or additional advocate-general or public prosecutor in the Telangana High Court now, and in the earlier Andhra Pradesh High Court.
