Morancha tragedy: 3 bodies recovered, 1 still missing

 WARANGAL: Police officials on Saturday recovered three bodies of a man and two women, who were washed away by the overflowing Morancha Vagu two days ago in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district. A search operation was underway to trace another missing person.

Superintendent of Police P. Karunakar deployed special teams led by DSP A. Ramula to trace the four missing persons from Morancha village.

The police, who intensified the search operation with the help of drones, found the bodies of three persons stuck in the mud in the fields on the outskirts of the three different surrounding villages.

The bodies of Gorre Odhi Reddy, 70, Gangidi Sarojana, 60, and Vajramma, 55, were found on the outskirts of Odithala village in Chityala mandal, Kothapalli and Solipet villages respectively.

With the help of locals, Bhupalpally circle inspector Ram Narasimha Reddy and Chityala Sub-inspector Ramesh, shifted the bodies to the government hospital for postmortem. Police were searching for the fourth person.
