Adilabad: ABVP Tries to Lay Siege to Indrakaran's House Over Student's Problems

Adilabad: ABVP activists on Tuesday attempted to lay siege to the residence of endowments minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy here, demanding the state government release the '5,300 crores of the pending fee reimbursement for 15 lakh students in the state, apart from filling up the vacant MEO posts and construction of permanent buildings for 300 Gurukulas.

However, police foiled their bid to storm into the ministers’ house by arresting them.

The student leaders alleged that as many as 8,000 out of the 30,000 government schools had been closed during the last ten years, causing many poor students in rural areas to discontinue their studies.
