ANMs get support from Komatireddy
Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said that CM KCR had promised to regularise the services of ANMs in 2014 manifesto
Hyderabad: Congress MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Tuesday wrote an open letter extending his support to the ‘second ANMs’ who are on strike for more than a month now seeking regularisation of their services,
He said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had promised to regularise the services of the ANMs in the 2014 manifesto. “There are 4,500 second ANMs appointed 16 to 20 years ago on outsourcing basis and have been working on par with the regular ANMs.” They worked tirelessly during the Covid pandemic, at risk to their lives.
He said the notification issued on July 26 for filling up Multipurpose Health Assistant (F) posts would leave the second ANMs out of the reckoning. Supporting their demand for regularisation, he said the showcause notices issued to the second ANMs should be withdrawn.
