Nizamabad: The District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting highlighted dissatisfaction with the availability of assistant engineers at the field level. The members said that a lack of AEs hampered development activities and the recording of measurement book (MB) in mandals. The members stated that deputy executive engineers assigned greater responsibilities to AEs, but the upper officers were unwilling to undertake the work.

On Tuesday, a DISHA meeting was conducted here at the Integrated District Offices Complex, presided over by MP Dharmapuri Arvind. Disha committee members stated at the meeting that a lack of assistant engineers had delayed Mana Ooru Mana Badi, irrigation, panchayat raj, and other civil activities.

Members also objected to the government schools not receiving eggs under the Mid-Day Meal programme.

N.V.Durga Prasad, the district educational officer, stated that they will investigate the lack of eggs in midday meals and provide a report to the members. The discussion covered the Prime Minister Awas Yojana, housing scheme footing and allocation to beneficiaries, and central government scheme implementation.

MP Arvind stated that district officials must adhere to timeframes when implementing central government programmes. He expressed his frustration with the district's central financing schemes' delays. He stated that railway overbridge construction at Adavi Mamidipally, Armoor, and Bodhan should be expedited. He stated that if the construction is delayed anymore, action should be taken against the contractors.

District collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu was there, as were additional collectors Chitra Mishra and P.Yadi Reddy, Nizamabad municipal commissioner M.Makarand, DFO Vikas Meena, DRDO Chander, and others. After the Disha meeting, MP Dharmapuri Arvind told reporters that the BRS government had undermined the state's democratic mechanisms. He urged the people to remove BRS from power.

Arvind slammed minister Prashanth Reddy and MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha. He stated that the people of Balkonda had resolved to defeat Prashanth in the upcoming elections. He said that the minister and his family members were implicated in high-level wrongdoing. Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao runs the government on 'falsehoods,' he claims, and the people will teach him a lesson soon.
