Hyderabad: The Rachakonda police have conducted an awareness programme in the city outskirts regarding black magic, child marriages, child labour and others on Friday.

Mahesh Bhagwat, commissioner of police, Rachakonda started ‘Rachakonda Kala Brundam’ with 21 members as a team two months ago for generating awareness about stigmas and superstitious.

Speaking to this newspaper Nagamallu, a traffic inspector and in-charge of the group said, “This awareness programme is the sixth of its kind. We address social problems like child marriages, child labour, dowry cases, drunk driving, online frauds and others with the help of skits.”

“We take inspiration from real life incidents and design our skits based on that,” Mr Nagamallu added.
