Court Sentences Person to Eight Days for Smoking Ganja Outside Police Station

Hyderabad: A court at Secunderabad on Friday sentenced B. Vamshi Krishna, 25, to eight days imprisonment for making a social media reel while standing in front of the Ramgopalpet police station and smoking ganja.

The reel went viral, following which the police took suo motu action on Krishna, a resident of Patigadda, Begumpet. The netizens shared the reel on social media platforms and tagging Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy with an appeal to take action against Krishna.

Krishna has been lodged at Chanchalguda central prison, said Ramgopalpet station house officer G. Lingeshwar Rao.
