Telangana CM Helps Delivery Boy's Family
Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy provided financial assistance to the bereaved family of Mohd. Rizwan, a 23-year-old Swiggy delivery executive who died in January this year. Rizwan had jumped from the third floor of an apartment in the city while delivering a parcel, after being chased by a dog.
The Chief Minister personally handed over a cheque of '2 lakh from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF) to the victim's family at the Secretariat. The incident had caught the attention of the CM during a meeting with gig workers at Nampally Exhibition grounds on December 23. Expressing his disappointment with the lack of response from the previous government, he decided to help the victim's family after learning about their struggles.
