CM Jagan directs officials to extend help to woman, boy
Vijayawada: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has directed the Palnadu district authorities to extend immediate assistance to a woman who lost her house in a fire mishap and to a boy suffering from thalassemia.
The advisories were issued by Jagan Mohan Reddy during his visit to Vinukonda in the district on Monday.
The woman Mastnamma hailing from Vinukonda met the CM and sought his help. Mastnamma said she lost her house in a fire mishap two years ago and was facing hardships. The CM directed the Palnadu district collector Sivasankar to provide her relief.
The collector promised to provide her a house site and money to construct the house in Vinukonda. An immediate relief of Rs 50,000 would be provided to her.
Similarly, the boy Teja Chiranjeevi was suffering from thalassemia. His father Narayana Swamy hailing from Bapatla district brought him to the CM and sought help, saying they were unable to afford medical treatment.
Based on the directions from the CM, the district collector gave the boy’s family Rs 1 lakh as immediate relief. They were also promised more help after consulting Bapatla district collector, like release of funds under the CMRF for treatment.
