Minor scuffles at Kerala University arts fest
A minor scuffle had occurred at University College on Wednesday between two contesting teams of the Kolkali competition.
Thiruvananthapuram: Lack of planning and coordination have resulted in minor scuffles at the Kerala University youth festival which is going on in the city. All the top officials of the university including vice-chancellor P.K. Radhakrishnan have been keeping away from the festival venue where tussles have been a regular affair due to the lack of coordination. A minor scuffle had occurred at University College on Wednesday between two contesting teams of the Kolkali competition. This venue was chosen after the earlier venue at Swathi Thirunal Music College was damaged in tussles between members of various groups participating in the Duffmuttu contest on Tuesday.
A policeman was injured in the tussle between the contestants on Tuesday. The complaints over judgments were the reason for the tussles. The procedure for redressing the complaints is time consuming. The complaints of the students are forwarded to the appellate authority from the appeal committee at Senate Hall now. The committee will take a final decision on the issue later.
