TSPSC employees qualified Group-I prelims
Hyderabad: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigating the TSPSC question paper leak uncovered that a total of 26 TSPSC employees took the Group-I prelims, with eight of them qualifying and three scoring above 100 marks.
All three, including the main accused P. Praveen Kumar, who secured more than 100 marks were arrested. The SIT seized samples of the master question paper and key from the accused on Thursday.
Further, the investigating officials discovered that several of the family members of the candidates who were previously caught in the fraud, as well as their relatives, had given huge money to the candidates who cleared the Group I prelims as well as the Assistant Engineer (Civil) entrance examination. The investigation is underway to determine whether these individuals gave them a large sum of money for the question papers.
Further, since this finding is based on the confessions of the arrested candidates, the authorities are attempting to determine how the funds were transferred.
“The focus of the investigation is on all those who have scored 100 and above, as well those who were in any way in contact with the accused or their associates. We are probing into the details spread into multiple layers,” SIT officials stated.
