Special trains to clear summer rush

Weekly special trains will be run from Visakhapatnam to Secunderabad and Mahbubnagar in June

Hyderabad: To accommodate increased demand, weekly special trains will be run from Visakhapatnam to Secunderabad and Mahbubnagar, each, in June. Additionally, weekly special trains will be run between Kacheguda and Tirupati.

Announcing the services, South Central Railway said that the weekly special will depart Visakhapatnam at 7 pm and arrive in Secunderabad at 7 am. The service will run on Wednesday from June 1 to 29.

On the return trip, the train will depart at 7.40 pm and arrive at 6.40 am at Visakhapatnam the next day. It will run on Thursday, from June 2 to 30.

The weekly special will make stops at Duvvada, Anakapalle, Annavaram, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Tadepalligudem, Vijaya-wada, Guntur, Sattenapalli and Miryalaguda stations.

Meanwhile, the special train will depart Visakhapatnam at 7 pm every Tuesday, from June 7 to 28, and reach Mahbubnagar at 10.30 am. The return train will start at 6.20 am from Mahbubnagar and reach Visakhapatnam at 9.50 am.

The special train will make stops at Duvvada, Anakapalle, Annavaram, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Tadepalligudem, Eluru, Vijayawada, Guntur, Sattenapalli, Miryalaguda, Nalgonda, Malkajgiri, Kacheguda, Umdanagar, Shadnagar and Jadcherla stations.

The third service will run between Kacheguda station and Tirupati starting June 1, at 10.20 pm from Hyderabad. The service from Tirupati will start June 2, with departure scheduled for 3 pm.

The stops on this route include Umdanagar, Shadnagar, Jadcherla, Mahbubnagar, Wanaparthi Road, Gadwal, Kurnool City, Dhone, Gooty, Tadipatri, Yerraguntla, Kadapa, Rajampet and Renigunta stations.
