She said Dasarathi’s immortal line “Naa Telangana Koti Ratanala Veena” had inspired Telangana protagonists to achieve statehood.

Meanwhile, in a tweet, the ruling party MLC came in support of the women wrestlers, who are on protest demanding the arrest of Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, who is accused of sexual harassment.
Kavitha ridiculed the Centre’s silence despite the police highhandedness against the protestors.
She tweeted, "The Government of India must think in the interest of the country in these 5 days. Even after a serious charge like POCSO, the accused is out in public, justice is no way can be denied to the victim, and the ongoing brutality with these gold medal awarded women players is absolutely reprehensible. ACT NOW (sic)."
