Man thrown off from running train by TTE in Bihar
The man's ticket was with his wife but the TTE allegedly refused to accompany him and demanded a bribe.
Katihar: A man was seriously injured after allegedly being pushed out of a running train by a Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) at Sudhani railway station in Bihar's Katihar district, police said on Sunday.
Passenger Anil Nunia, a native of Katihar district, was allegedly pushed from the North-East Express by the TTE following an argument Saturday night, Barsoi railway police station's Assistant Inspector Muzzamil Khan said.
Nunia's wife alleged that the TTE had asked him to pay bribe after he got down at Sudhani station to fetch water but he could not produce the ticket and told him that the ticket was with his wife, travelling in the same train.
The TTE refused to accompany him to the seat where his wife was seated and instead pushed him leading to his fall, she said.
An FIR was registered after the train reached Barsoi railway station.
Meanwhile, Nunia has been admitted to the hospital, police said, adding efforts are on to identify the accused.
