Mucus' spotted in saline

Hyderabad: A video of white mucus floating in saline was uploaded on social media by a patient’s attendant at Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences.

The video states that 200 ml of saline had been administered and then did the patient’s relative, Ms Sunitha, noticed the white mucus floating in the bottle.
Officials at KIMS said they are not aware of any such incident as no complaint was registered.

The Drug Control administration does not have any information as no complaint was made to them either.

The video is going viral in social media circles and questions were raised about the kind of treatment provided.

Saline has been blamed for a series of incidents over the past year. The death of a child has been attributed to adulterated saline.
