Massive fire breaks out in Srisailam

Kurnool: A significant fire accident took place in Srisailam late on Wednesday and lasted for approximately 4-5 hours until it was finally brought under control. The fire started around 2.30 am and continued until 7 am on Thursday.

Upon receiving the information about the fire, fire tenders rushed to the scene to tackle the flames. The firefighting teams worked persistently for over 4 hours to contain and extinguish the fire. The fire resulted in considerable damage. Around 12 shops located in the L-Block of the Lalithambika Shopping Complex were completely gutted by the fire, while some other shops suffered partial damage.

The shops contained various items such as clothes, rudraksha beads, bronze materials, and other goods, all of which were consumed by the flames. Local Sub Inspector Lakshmana Rao said that a short circuit is suspected to be the cause of the mishap. As of now, the exact extent of the property loss has not been determined.
