Suspended tahsildar dies of cardiac arrest

ANANTAPUR: A tahsildar who was under suspension over allegations of irregularities died of cardiac arrest at Puttaparthi in Satya Sai district on Wednesday.

Bhaskar Narayana was working as a tahsildar at Puttaparthi when he was suspended by the authorities over allegations of irregularities a few months ago.

He approached the court contesting his suspension. The court had recently directed the government to reinstate him in the post.

However, Bhaskar Narayana was yet to be reinstated and was reportedly upset about the delay. On Wednesday, he suffered a cardiac arrest at his residence and died.

His family members said that he was under stress due to the suspension and the delay in his reinstatement. They alleged that the delay in his reinstatement was responsible for his death.
