Be entrepreneurs than job seekers, Mekapati tells youth
There are plenty of opportunities for anyone to achieve anything, provided they have an appropriate action plan and commitment
NELLORE: AP industries minister Mekapati Goutham Reddy wants youth to excel in their chosen field and offer employment to others, rather than remain job seekers.
Addressing a large gathering after inaugurating a mega job mela at Atmakur on Saturday, he told youngsters that there is no easy way to success in life. They must change their own mindset. Teachers and parents must guide youth in changing their mindset for the better.
“There are plenty of opportunities for anyone to achieve anything, provided they have an appropriate action plan, patience and commitment to realise their goal,” Goutham Reddy underlined.
He maintained that the state government is focussing on providing youth job-oriented skills, so that they can employ themselves.
Earlier, the minister, along with collector K.V.N. Chakradhar Babu, inaugurated a ₹ 2 crore advanced drinking water scheme donated by Adani Foundation to citizens of Atmakur. He tasted the water treated without using any chemicals.
The collector thanked Adani Foundation representative Ganta Venugopal, IIT Kharagpur alumni Brahmanandam, who offered technical support, and municipal commissioner Ramesh Babu for their efforts in grounding the scheme titled “MGR Swajal”.
Chakradhar Babu praised industrialists in the district for offering medical equipment worth ₹ 6.35 crore for dealing with the dreaded Covid virus.
Municipal chairperson G. Venkataramanamma was among those present at the function.
