22nd Annual Conference of IASSI to be held from November 2nd

Hyderabad: Centre for Economic and Social Studies (CESS) will be hosting the 22nd annual conference of the Indian Association of Social Science Institutions (IASSI) from November 2 to 4.

S. Mahendra Dev, distinguished professor, ICFAI Faculty of Social Sciences, IFHE, Hyderabad, and former director and vice chancellor of the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR) in Mumbai, is the conference president. E. Revathi, director, CESS, is the chairperson of the organising committee and Dr B. Suresh Reddy, associate professor, CESS, organising secretary.

It brings together over 200 researchers from universities and academic institutions.  The three main themes are sustainable development, urbanisation and development,  women empowerment.
