Ayodhya Ram Temple Replica Created by Muslims is Top Draw at Numaish
HYDERABAD: A major attraction at the entrance of this year’s Numaish, the All India Industrial Exhibition, in Nampally, is a mobile replica of the Ayodhya Lord Rama temple. The bigger news is that most of the workers, who were involved in its creation, are Muslims.
Put up to commemorate Monday’s ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Lord Rama’s idol in the Ayodhya temple, the replica has been conceptualised and designed by two-time Guinness Record holder, Sudhakar Yadav of Sudha Cars fame, whose team toiled for two years at his unit in Bahadurpura.
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Sudhakar took delight in pointing out, “Almost 90 per cent of people engaged in this project were Muslims, including the project head Ahmed Ali. This is our gift to the historical event.”
The weekend crowd had a gala time with families enthusiastically taking selfies beside the mascot. Many families said that they would burst firecrackers on Monday as the ensuing event at Ayodhya was, to them, bigger than any Diwali celebration.
Meanwhile, Aditya Margam, managing committee member of Exhibition Society, said, “since the nation is eagerly looking forward to the 'Pran Pratishtha' of Lord Rama’s idol in the Ayodhya temple, this vehicle at the entrance stood out as a special attraction. This way, we can ensure that thousands of visitors can get a feel of how the temple looks and be contended.”
