CM Jagan wishes all on Krodhi Ugadi Telugu New Year
VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy celebrated the Krodhi Nama Telugu New Year, Ugadi, at his Memantha Siddham Bus Yatra camp site in Gantavaripalem of Savalyapuram mandal, Palnadu district, on Tuesday.
Vedic scholars blessed Jagan Mohan Reddy and his wife Y.S. Bharathi at the camp, offered Ugadi Pachadi and recited hymns and explained the Ugadi panchangam predictions for the new year.
As part of the bus yatra, Jagan Mohan Reddy stayed for the night at Gantavaripalem.
YSRC made special arrangements for the Ugadi celebration at the camp. Its leaders Anil Kumar Yadav, Bolla Brahma Naidu, Lella Appi Reddy and others greeted the CM on the occasion.
Jagan Mohan Reddy’s wife Bharathi also participated in the Krodhi Ugadi puja. The Vedic scholars blessed the couple and felicitated them with shawls and sprinkled Akshintalu.
The two received the Ugadi pachadi presented by the scholars and they tasted it. It was a mix of six tastes.
During his programmes of the day, Jagan Mohan Reddy reviewed the party’s campaign as also its responses and took suggestions and advice from senior leaders on the YSRC’s 2024 election manifesto.
Sources said that earlier, the YSRC decided to release the manifesto on Ugadi day, but it was postponed. Jagan Mohan Reddy would announce a few sops like an agriculture loan waiver after the start of the 2024 elections’ nomination process.
Meanwhile, taking to social media, the CM wished all the people of the state on Ugadi. He said, “Greetings to the people of the state and all the Telugu people all over the world on the occasion of Sri Krodhi Ugadi. For this new year, My wish is for abundant rain, for crops to grow well, farmers to benefit and people of all professions remain happy. I am sure the state will be prosperous in the new year, every house in the villages and towns would be decorated with works of art, and our cultural traditions would flourish forever.”
