MP cabinet approves over 46,000 new posts in health sector, Rs 24,000 crore- electricity subsidy

Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh cabinet headed by chief minister Mohan Yadav on Tuesday approved new vacancies for over 46,000 posts in the health sector in the state.

Briefing the reporters after the cabinet meeting, state minister Kailash Vijayvargiya said the cabinet approved new vacancies for 46,491 posts in the health sector for recruitment of grade three, grade four employees and paramedical staff.

Of the 46,491 posts, 18,653 will be filled in the coming three years.

The cabinet has approved an annual budget of Rs 343.29 crore for the purpose.

The remaining 27,838 posts would be filled through the National Health Mission programme.

He said that the government has decided to initiate steps to recruit specialists in 1214 posts in the health sector.

Half of these posts would be filled through promotions and the remaining half would be filled through direct recruitment.

The state cabinet has also approved a subsidy of about Rs 24,420 crore to different categories of electricity consumers.

Of these, a subsidy of Rs 6,000 crore has been approved for domestic consumers while subsidy of Rs 13,000 crore and Rs 5,000 crore has been approved for farmers belonging to general category and for SC/ST farmers respectively.

The cabinet has also cleared the proposal to implement the Assured Career Promotion Scheme for the same cadres of all the departments of the state government.
