My Priority is to Bring Down Airfares, says Ram Mohan Naidu

Visakhapatnam: Telugu Desam MP, Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, assumed charge as civil aviation minister in New Delhi on Thursday, succeeding Jyotiraditya Scindia.

The 36-year-old three-time MP expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for giving him the opportunity to join the Union Cabinet and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for assigning him this ministry.

Rammohan Naidu said one of his priorities will be to create an "ease of flying" scenario, making air travel more accessible and affordable. Focus will be on ensuring comfort, convenience, safety, and security of passengers, he said.

The minister said he would prepare a 100-day action plan for the ministry, as advised by the Prime Minister. On the high air ticket rates, he would hold review meetings to address this issue.

He highlighted the stability of the NDA alliance under Modi's leadership, stating that all alliance partners were happy with their roles and responsibilities.
