Nandyal Ready for Smooth Counting: Collector

Kurnool: All steps are being taken to ensure smooth counting of votes in Nandyal district on June 4.

Twelve counting halls have been set up for the 6 assembly constituencies at RGM and Santhiram Engineering Colleges on the outskirts of Nandyal town.

Nandyal Collector Sreenivasulu accompanied by SP Raghuveer Reddy, inspected the arrangements at the counting halls on Wednesday. All the EVMs have been stored at RGM and Santhiram Engineering Colleges with three levels of security.

A total of 74 tables have been arranged for counting the EVM votes of the assembly constituencies, 75 tables for the LS votes, and 38 tables for postal ballot votes.

The collector counting agents would soon receive photo ID cards and table badges.

The agents must bring their appointment letter, ID card and declaration letter to the counting centre. Mobile phones will not be allowed inside the counting halls.
