Placement Orders to 2,310 ITI Students

Chennai: State Labour and Skill Development Minister C V Ganesan gave away placement orders to 2310 students, who completed their training in Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) and were appointed in leading companies and selected by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) for jobs.

At a function held at the Government Industrial Training Institute, Guindy Campus, on Monday, among those who were handed over the orders were 156 students selected to Group IIA services by TNPSC.

Merit certifications and cash prizes were also awarded to 16 ITI trainees who won the seventh State Level Project Competition, besides awards for the best ITI in Industry Partnership, Best Institute  Management Committee Chairman and Best Government Industrial  Institute for the year 2022-23 under Public Private Partnership Scheme.  

 Industrial Training institutes in the State were upgraded with the Chief Minister M K Stalin inaugurating Technology  Centres in 71 institutes last year to impart  training in Industry 4.0 standards and the 2310 students who received  placement orders in leading industries  were trained in those  Technology Centres.
