Actor Jr NTR's father-in-law joins YSR Congress
Former Union minister Killi Krupa Rani also shifted to YSRC from the Congress on Thursday.
VIJAYAWADA: Businessman Narne Srinivas Rao, a close relative of AP Chief Mini-ster N. Chandrababu Naidu and father-in-law of popular actor Junior NTR, joined the YSRC in the presence of party chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday. Former Union minister Killi Krupa Rani also shifted to YSRC from the Congress on Thursday.
Mr Srinivas Rao’s move has gained significance with Jr NTR maintaining a distance from the Telugu Desam. He didn’t campaign for his half-sister Nanda-muri Suhasini, who had contested on a TD ticket in the Telangana state Assembly polls that were held last year. “There is no proper governance in AP under Mr Chandrababu Naidu. So, in order to strengthen Jagan Mohan Reddy’s hands and to see him as the next CM, I joined the YSRC. I have had ties with YSR’s family for more than a decade,” Mr Srinivas Rao said.
