TRS bags lead roles in coop banks, societies

Relatives of party leaders continue dynasty politics.

Hyderabad: The TRS has bagged all the posts of chairperson and vice chairperson in the nine District Cooperative Central Banks (DCCBs) and nine District Cooperative Marketing Societies (DCMSs) in the elections held on Saturday.

Some TRS leaders continued dynasty politics by securing posts for their family members. Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivasa Reddy’s son Pocharam Bhaskar Reddy became chairman of the Nizamabad DCCB. TRS MLA Gongadi Sunitha’s husband Gongadi Mahender Reddy was elected Nalgonda DCCB chairman.

The TRS victory was a foregone conclusion after it had trounced other parties in elections to the primary cooperative agriculture societies.

The other chairmen elected as DCCBs chairmen were K. Ravinder Rao (Karimnagar), Namdev Kamble (Adilabad,) B. Manohar Reddy (Ranga Reddy), Ch. Devender Reddy (Medak), K. Nagabhushanam (Khammam) Nizam Pasha, (Mahbubnagar) and M. Ravinder (Warangal).

The chairmen elected for the DCMSs were Srikanth Reddy (Karimnagar), V. Janaiah Yadav (Nalgonda), Tippani Lingaiah Yadav (Adilabad), E. Indrasena Reddy (Nizamabad), Shiva Kumar, (Medak) Krishna Reddy (Ranga Reddy), R Ven-kata Seshagiri Rao, (Khammam) and G. Rama Swamy Naik (Mahbubnagar).
