Hyderabad: In a scathing attack on the BJP and the Congress, Telangana state Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao termed them as parties with “miserable leaders” (daridulu) and “beggars” (sannasiluu) and said that this country must be free from them.

Addressing a public meeting at Mahbubnagar on Sunday, Mr Rao said that if people of Telangana state bless him with 16 Lok Sabha seats, he will go to Delhi and “change the face of Indian politics”.

Neither the BJP nor the Congress will be in a position to form the government alone at the Centre; it is regional parties who will decide the next ruler of this country.

He said, “We will certainly play a crucial role as several regional parties and individuals like Prakash Ambedkar, grandson of Babasaheb Ambedkar and film actor Prakash Raj and several others are in touch with me.”

Mr Rao said that the BJP and the Congress fear that he will come to Delhi and play a key role in national politics and they also fear that the people of this country will throw them out in the general election.

Maintaining that neither the Congress nor the BJP has done anything for the people of this country in their 73 years of rule, the CM said reforms in the judiciary, legislature and Constitution are required to bring a qualitative change in politics and administration of this country.
