KAKINADA: Endowments minister Pydikondala Manikyala Rao cautioned the Telugu Desam and the people of AP to beware of the Congress’s trap or its Rajya Sabha member KVP Ramachandra Rao’s as the party was trying to protect its identity and existence which was nil in the state.

Mr Manikayala Rao, who came to Kovvuru to be part of Anthya Pushkaralu, told reporters on Sunday here that the Congress could not incorporate (SCS) in the AP Reorganisation Act during the bifurcation and thus did the state a grave injustice. By the ti-me of the bifurcation, neither Mr Ramachandra Rao nor former Rajahmundry MP Vund-avilli Arunkumar asked for SCS. Now, the BJP government had committed itself to developing Andhra Pradesh by flowing in funds to the state, he said.

He observed that the Congress government did not include some of the mandals in AP, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi had done so to ease construction of the Polavaram project.

With rapid development taking place, such as national highways, seashores and industrial corridors, under the Union government's guidance, the Congress could not digest it and was entrapping people in its conspiracy.
