MMD oustees to contest Huzurabad by-poll if demands unresolved
Oustees of Aikya Vedika from 13 villages affected by the Mid Manair Reservoir project have demanded the state govt to resolve their issues
Karimnagar: The oustees of Aikya Vedika from 13 villages affected by the Mid Manair Reservoir project have demanded the state government to resolve their issues immediately and warned of filing nominations in the ensuing Huzurabad by-elections en-masse if there was any further delay.
They staged a black- balloon release protest at Nandi Kaman circle in Vemulawada on Saturday.
Whenever there are by-elections the TRS government is sanctioning funds, pensions and implementing schemes to that constituency but is least bothered to resolve the issues of the oustees of 13 affected villages under MMD.
On a number of occasions, the issue was taken to the notice of the concerned authorities and public representatives but to no positive response, they pointed out.
When Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao did not fulfill the promises made to the people in his mother-in-law’s village Kudurupaka how can he fulfill the promises made to the people of Huzurabad constituency, they wondered.
They demanded sanction of a compensation of Rs. 5.04 lakh and pattas for the land allotted to them.
If Vemulawada MLA, Chennamneni Ramesh Babu who arrived from Germany recently, resigns from his post, it will result in by-elections. Only then will the TRS government focus on resolving issues of oustees, they opined and demanded Ramesh Babu to resign from his post.
If the government did not resolve the issues of oustees, then 10 members from each of 13 villages would contest the by-elections, they said.
