Kapu Nadu meeting on August 13 to seek due share of political power

KAKINADA: The Kapu Nadu Aikhya Vedika consisting of Kapu, Telaga, Balija and Ontari castes would hold a meeting on August 13 at Subham Kapu Kalyana Mandapam here and formulate an action plan to gain their due share in politics and power.

Vedika state president Vada Srinivas told the media here on Monday that the meeting would be held irrespective of the political links of each person. Leaders and members of Vedika from across the state would attend the meeting.

He said the Kapu community has the largest population among various communities of AP. Parties should give them seats in the elections based on their population share. He also said many Kapus remain grossly neglected in matters of development. The meeting would take a decision to develop them financially.

Vedika vice-president Thummala Srirama Murthy and others were present.
