Kishan: Voters must reject family parties
Union minister alleges BRS, Cong. and MIM are anti-Hindu and anti-national
HYDERABAD: The BJP on Monday launched a strong criticism of the BRS, Congress and AIMIM clubbing the three parties as anti-Hindu and anti-national and called on people to reject them in the coming Assembly elections in the state.
State BJP president G. Kishan Reddy said the three parties are trying to hoodwink the people by trying to portray themselves as different from one another but their history shows that these family parties have always worked together and that they will continue to do so.
“The BRS is the Kalvakuntla family party, Majlis is the Owaisi family party, and Congress is Sonia’s Italian family party. A vote of any of them means a vote for the BRS and BRS must be defeated in the next elections,” he said.
Addressing a massive gathering at Mahbubnagar, where he led a BJP protest demanding distribution of two bedroom houses to the poor, Reddy said “these three parties are opposed to Ram temple construction in Ayodhya, they are opposed to the Uniform Civil Code and are also opposed to any legislation that seeks to provide women their rights. People should see through these parties and reject them outright.”
Joining him at the event were BJP national vice-president D.K. Aruna, former Mahabubnagar MP A.P. Jithender Reddy and several other senior party leaders, who called on the people to hold the government accountable for its promises.
Kishan Reddy said that the Narendra Modi government had built more than four crore houses for the poor in the country but in Telangana, in the past nine years, the 2 bedroom housing scheme has not moved forward.
“The Chief Minister has built camp offices for his party MLAs in every constituency but has not found land to build houses for the poor. All that are found everywhere in the state are liquor and belt shops in every lane. Instead of the promised ‘Bangaru Telangana’, the Chief Minister has turned the state into ‘liquor Telangana,” he said.
It is time for a change in the state and only the BJP can bring this transformation by defeating the BRS and the Kalvakuntla family. The people should give the BJP one chance to form the government,” he said.
