TTV Dhinakaran planning to team up with DMK: D Jayakumar
Speaking to the media here, Jayakumar alleged that Stalin was trying to topple the government and betrayers with Dhinakaran were supporting the move.
Chennai: Fisheries minister D. Jayakumar on Thursday charged AIADMK (Amma) deputy general secretary T.T.V. Dhinakaran with planning to team up with former Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa's arch rival DMK' to bring down 'Amma's government".
Speaking to the media here, Jayakumar alleged that Stalin was trying to topple the government and betrayers with Dhinakaran were supporting the move.
The party cadre, functionaries and people would not accept Dhinakaran group's betrayal, he asserted and declared that Stalin's attempt to topple the government would not be fulfilled.
He also hoped that those with Dhinakaran would return to the party since they too want the continuance of Amma government. He also hit out at actor Kamal Haasan and said the actor had started a party in twitter without trusting the people.
Revenue minister R.B. Udhayakumar, in a separate press meet said all the 19 MLAs with Dhinakaran were qualified to be ministers and they could get ministerial berths in Edappadi K. Palaniswami government itself.
Udhayakumar promised that the MLAs in Dhinakaran group would get all the benefits if they remained patient.
The chances for ministerial berths are bound by legalities, he said, obviously referring to the restriction that only 15 per cent of the total MLAs in an Assembly could be made ministers. Palaniswami would be cordial to all partymen and he would give posts to the legislators with Dhinakaran at the appropriate time.
