Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is said to have dropped the idea of replacing health minister Etala Rajender after a choppy week, during which the latter faced allegations of leaking confidential details of a CM’s meeting with collectors, and then publicly hoisted a mini-rebellion when he said he was not obliged to anyone for his Cabinet berth.
Panchayat raj minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao said, “Etala Rajender episode is a closed chapter” and that the beleaguered minister would continue in the Cabinet.
Mr Dayakar Rao spoke after meeting the TRS working president K.T. Rama Rao at Telangana Bhavan, which added weight to his statement.
During an informal chat with reporters on Saturday, Mr Dayakar Rao said, “KCR is the only boss of the pink flag. The Etala episode is a closed chapter and there is no problem for his post.”
