Assembly poll tickets after Supreme Court order: CT Ravi
Ravi was also hopeful that the Centre would release flood relief at the earliest.
Mangaluru: Tourism Minister C.T. Ravi has said that the allotment of tickets for the 15 assembly seats which go to polls on December 5, will be decided based on the Supreme Court order in the case of the disqualified MLAs with the party’s parliamentary board likely to take the final decision. “We won't forget them. The BJP came to power because of them and we express our gratitude. But giving the ticket to them would be based on the apex court order and also on the decision of our Parliamentary board. The board is supreme and final when it comes to deciding candidates for the election,” he said.
Ravi was also hopeful that the Centre would release flood relief at the earliest. “The state government has provided money for temporary work. In the country, 10 states have witnessed flood damage. You could have alleged discrimination if the central government had provided flood relief to other states and not Karnataka. But the central government has stated that there is a new format for NDRF based on which it will release money. I am sure when the central government releases money to the 10 states, we too will get it,” he said.
