Centre gave Andhra Pradesh Rs 36,029 crore in past three years
AP also got grants-in-aid of ₹ 26,587.75 crore recommended by 15th Finance Commission for the award period 2020–21 and 2021–22
VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh has received from union government financial assistance worth ₹ 36,029.30 crore in various forms during three consecutive years 2018–19, 2019–20 and 2020–21, in addition to thousands of crores under other heads.
In reply to a starred question from BJP MP G.V.L. Narasimha Rao on total amount of financial assistance sanctioned and released, apart from financial grants and assistance under PMGKP and PMGKAY, union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on Tuesday that ₹ 36,029.3 crore has been given to AP since past three years.
AP also got grants-in-aid of ₹ 26,587.75 crore recommended by 15th Finance Commission for the award period 2020–21 and 2021–22.
Centre released ₹ 19,830.38 crore under Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014 from 2014 to 2022. Under special assistance, AP received ₹ 15.81 crore during 2018–19.
