Rahul Gandhi speaks to local leaders before meet
Mr Gandhi enquired about the party’s pros-pects in Telangana state in the current Lok Sabha elections.
Hyderabad: Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Monday held a brief meeting with party leaders in Hyderabad before leaving for a public meeting in Zaheerabad.
Mr Gandhi arrived in Hyderabad on Monday morning to address three public meetings in the state. He chatted briefly with AICC general secretary and Telan-gana state Congress affairs in-charge R.C. Khuntia, AICC secretary and Nizamabad Congress Lok Sabha candidate Madhu Yashki, Bhongir candidate Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, MLA K. Rajagopal Reddy, TPCC Gudur treasurer Narayana Reddy and TPCC protocol in-charge Venugopal.
Mr Gandhi enquired about the party’s pros-pects in Telangana state in the current Lok Sabha elections.
After this meeting, Mr Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy and Mr Komatireddy Venkata Reddy said they have requested Mr Gandhi to participate in the road shows in Bhon-gir, Secunderabad and Malkajgiri.
They said Mr Gandhi would come to Telangana state again on April 8. Mr Komati-reddy Rajagopal Reddy said that Mr Rahul Gandhi had asked about the winning prospects of the Bhongir Congress candidate and that he had said that certainly he would win.
