Hyderabad: CLP deputy leader Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy said that was unfortunate that the state government had not constructed Telangana Bhavan at Delhi, where land is available. He said Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao had constructed Pragathi Bhavan on a war-footing but had not moved to build the Telangana Bhavan.

Speaking to mediapersons in Delhi on Friday, Mr Reddy asked why the TS government should operate from AP Bhavan when it had the land to build its own establishment.

Mr Reddy took objection to Mr Rao not coming to the Secretariat, and not giving appointments to meet people at Pragathi Bhavan.

Khateeb says no to CM’s iftar

Opposing the iftar party hosted by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, a Wakf activist and Khateeb of Hari Masjid Badi Chowdi, Sultan Bazaar, said that the money spend on the party could be used for more constructive purposes. “Several thousands of applicants are awaiting economic assistance as promised by the government under various schemes. Similarly, the government has not come out clearly on the 12 per cent reservation that it promised for minorities during the 2014 assembly elections,” he pointed out. He urged the Muslim scholars to boycott the party.
