VIJAYAWADA: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan on Wednesday requested Union Railways ministry to issue appointment letters to the 400 Course Completed Act Apprentices (CCAAs), who have fulfilled all eligibility criteria and completed the relevant exams.

In a statement, the JS president pointed out that though the job notification has been issued in 2019, the appointment of these CCAAs is still pending. Pawan Kalyan said he is intervening into the issue after the youth had approached him. He requested Andhra Pradesh and Telangana governments to put in a word with the Railways on behalf of the youth.

Pawan Kalyan said Railways had announced that at the time it issues the job notification, candidates should complete their CCAA exam. However, the ministry of skill development had not conducted the exam within the scheduled period. The candidates appeared for their written test only later.

The Jana Sena chief expressed concern that employment of the youth had been stopped over this one technical reason, though they satisfy all the other eligibility criteria for appointment.

He suggested to the Railway authorities in AP and Telangana to find out how railway zonal officers in other states had handled such an issue and provide appointments to the apprentices.
