Tamil Nadu has ‘cabinet of tourists’: M K Stalin

Stalin demanded that state government issue a white paper on the Rs 5.42 lakh crore investment Tamil Nadu.

Tirunelveli: The State cabinet headed by Chief Minister Edappadi K  Palaniswami is a “cabinet of tourists”, said DMK president, M K Stalin.

Addressing the media after paying his respects to freedom fighter Poolithevan on his 304th birth anniversary at Nerkattancheval in Tirunelveli district on Sunday, Stalin demanded that state government issue a white paper on the Rs 5.42 lakh crore investment Tamil Nadu has  claimed to have attracted through the two global investors' meets held during the eight-year long AIADMK rule.

Stating that people have the right to know about the present status of  investments in the state, Stalin added, “neither the Chief Minister nor the Industries minister concerned have answered the  people about the status of investments claimed to have been attracted.”

Mr. Stalin said that the Chief Minister along with ten of his cabinet colleagues have gone on foreign tours and there was information that another set of eight ministers, planning to go abroad soon. This gave the impression that it was more a “cabinet of tourists,” he added.
